So I,ve been battling through the day with migraine . There was talk of rain possibly coming out way , so I wanted to get my Kale seedlings planted out .
I had to keep stopping and starting , having a flop . It was a real drag , but I was really keen to get this done .
This was where the onion sets were ....a complete waste of time and effort . I gave up after the first heatwave . I couldn't keep up with the watering and no one helped me to fix the stupid hose .
And then the deer munched my Brussel sprouts ....and the gales smashed my Runnerbeans to pieces ..and two lots of courgette seeds failed .
Apart from the beautiful Chives that I grew from seed , this vegetable bed was almost a complete fail .
So I climbed in and weeded it all out . The ground is so hard and dry . It was very hard work .
( The onions are the same size as when I first planted them ! )I decided to throw in the spent tomato compost .
I pulled out the most miserable Brussel sprout specimens and then started to feel a bit more positive about everything .
Then brought my Kale seedlings down from the shed .
A nice selection of a Dwarf variety , Vate's Blue and Cavolo Nero Kales .
I have more that I will continue to grow on in the shed .

I feel yout pain.
