🌿Pumpkin update - I just watched a Bob Flowerdew Facebook video about growing Squash . Yes ! He's on Facebook with lots of great advice .🌿
Unfortunately I am unable to share the video on here , but you can see it on Facebook .
So in this video he is saying that we should take off any of the first female fruits on Butternuts and Pumpkins and not let them fruit until about the end of June .
If you don't do this , the plant stops growing and you wont get anymore . Great advice .
O.K. Thankyou Bob ! I love his Organic Gardening books ...all with such great wisdom , advice and written with such genuine enthusiasm .

Other news - it's raining . Not as much as further up country are having , but enough to replenish my water-butts . Very grateful for the rain .
Everything is looking refreshed and it smells wonderful !
