I picked a good arm full of Rhubarb and Leeks .
I decided to harvest all of my Purple Sprouting Broccoli and get it into the fridge .
It was just starting to flower in this lovely sunny and warm weather ...I caught it just in time . We love this beautiful vegetable ! It is also time to sow some more for next year .
We enjoyed a dish of Rhubarb crumble and vanilla ice cream .
I do love making meals from the produce in my garden. My rhubarb isn't doing as well as last year, I don't know why.
ReplyDeletewow I'm impressed, I'm still growing weeds and feeding the slugs on any veg that dare show their heads....sigh, hopefully I will get there. When we were kids we used to have a saucer of sugar and dip raw rhubarb sticks in it and eat them like that. Surprised I have any teeth left.
ReplyDeletezzzzzzeeeeeouch ..I think I,ll pass on that ! ...yep the snails are on the march here too . I,m busy sowing seeds and trying to make space in the greenhouse ..some seeds aren't even germinating..or maybe I,m too impatient :)
