Spuds in Tubs - update 🥔🥔🥔🌿

 

              They are doing really well !

         I earthed them up a bit more . Almost at the top of the tubs now .

                    I gave them a good drink .

                Very happy with them !

Meanwhile in the greenhouse .....

The wind has eased up today , but we have had three days and nights of a bitterly cold , roof tile rattling gale blowing in from the east . I hung this palm flower pod to stop the wind blowing in through the keyhole .

Pelargoniums are beginning to flower  and there is a nice bud coming on this little cactus . Not a very good picture , I will take a better one when it opens up .

                        Buds are coming on the Epiphyllums ! 

                           Five buds on this one !

            Happiness is a new cactus  ! 🌵  I've been after this one for a long time . 

                                  Echinocereus viereckii ssp. morricalii 

I got it from cactify_uk  -🌵 " Rare and unusual cacti and succulent plants.

Most propagated in house in the UK, including a selection of types not normally available from large commercial nurseries."🌵

   A nice healthy looking plant , sent bare root , beautifully packed for the bumpy journey down to Cornwall in a nice strong Hobgoblin box .   No idea what Hobgoblins are  , but it was a very pretty box .

   Very happy me !  I highly recommend ! 

I had this lovely old bonsai pot that I thought it would look lovely and be quite comfortable in , as it spreads out and blooms with it spectacular large pink flowers .  I just need to get some nice horticultural grit to spread around it  . 

  Sigh ...I guess we'll just have to go to the garden centre again ...sigh .... 😃

                                     It's been a very nice day .
