Moving swiftly onwards ! My seeds have arrived !
I got the propagator out , switched on . and after letting the compost and that water squisher warm up overnight , yesterday morning I sowed my Sweet Pepper seeds .
I have to really pace myself this year , after serious back injury . I am having physio and doing the exercises .
Today the grass is very damp but I managed to do the first cut of the year to the pathways of the labyrinth . I had to keep stopping and starting to clear the grass clippings from the blades with a stick .
Before
A combination of my really painful back and of having non stop rain has prevented me from cutting the grass .
I did think that I might have to let the labyrinth go , it was beginning to get lost in the long grass and I knew it was going to be difficult to cut .
After click twice to view
It still looks a bit rough , but in a couple of days I will cut the pathways again on a lower setting and it'll soon look smart again !
(note - Jess's Giant Echium is still standing ! O.K slightly leaning now maybe !π€£)I was so pleased with myself that I then made a start weeding the African Keyhole Bed .
It is easier to weed after the rain , I just can't bend down that easily at the moment , so used the rake and throw it into the wheelbarrow method . Rake and throw ! Rake and throw ! Rake and throw !
I was then ordered to stop , go in doors , poke the fire in the woodburning stove and make a cup of tea .
Feeling pleased with myself to have restored the labyrinth a little .
So that's all fer now !
