Acers

So , you know how when you're out shopping at the supermarket and you see these lovely little Acers....and three accidently fall into your shopping trolly ?

Yes ?  Well , that happened to me the autumn before last  . I potted them up in the next size up pots , except for one which I thought I'd plant out , up on the sloping shrubby bank .

Well , I planted it just in front of the Holly bush at the top .  A bit cruel really I know and you can't even see it !

I think it will eventually look great up there .

I have been very much worried about Ricardo going up there with the strimmer .....he strims the grass around the shrubs at the bottom .

So I thought I'd go up and take a peek , see how it's doing  .

Wow ! Looking lush ! Very happy me !    πŸ’š

It has been very much protected from this summer's cruel heat waves by the understory plants .....

........that I am about to clear away .

It's true what they say about newly planted saplings  -

πŸŒΏ   " First they sleep . Then they creep . Then they leap ! " 🌿

    1. I agree , they are so beautiful especially with the sunlight shining through them . I wasn't successful growing from seed though . I will have another go next year .
