Autumn tidying continues πŸ‚πŸπŸƒ

Tomato and Sweet Pepper plants out .....except for one Sweet Pepper which still has a few fruits on .

Start bringing back in the Cacti from the front porch and any less hardy succulents  , Agaves to go under the bench. Gave it a good sweep out . So many cobwebs !

Then Ricardo announced that he wanted me to take all the plants out of the shed because he had to do a few maintenance jobs on it .

This was an incredibly scary job . More cobwebs and spiders πŸ•·️ I had to close my eyes as I carried out trays and plants  πŸ•·️

The polystyrene under the bench will be used in the unheated greenhouse to stand and surround precious plants on , during the cold winter months . I have my trusty roll of insulation stuff to unroll along the rafters and car windscreen frost screens to fix up along the North side of the greenhouse too .

The lantern and candles are also waiting in the wings .  I didn't use the lantern much last winter , but for me , it is wise to have it there ...just in case .

Also a pile of newspaper sheets to throw over plants on cold evenings .

Still under the bench to clear out . Just want it a bit tidier and enough space for two chairs by the table .
We had to fill in the ends of the window fittings to stop little birds coming in .The window frame doesn't go properly to the end of the shed building . It's usually the clever little Blue Tits ; they come in to shelter for the night , but they are not clever enough to remember how to get out again . It's o.k. I am up there everyday to let them out .
I will be happy when Ricardo blocks up these holes .
Also the window glass wasn't the right size for the window frame and there was a quarter of an inch gap all along the top .
This had really puzzled me , and then one year there was a thin line of snow all along the inside on the bench . We rarely get snow so I hadn't noticed it before then .
As for the window , I daren't open it , in case it should fall off !

Apart from all that , it's quite a nice little shed .
πŸŒ§️ Hopefully it will get through yet another stormy Cornish Winter .🌩️🌧️

This side is much better now .

πŸ’Good enough for me anyway πŸ’

I gave the purple Tradescantia a trim .
Found a damaged bag of compost reduced to £3.00 .  All ready and waiting for starting my vegetable seeds next year .🌱🌱🌱

I gave everything a good drink of nice fresh rain water from the now refilled water barrels .

Tasty strawberries are still coming !

I love this time of the year best of all . Early Autumn . My favourite time .

Wishing you a relaxing weekend . Make time for yourself and do something that you love .

Something that eases all your worries and brings some gentle happiness .

Thinking of you , hugs . Debbie x

  2. Our shed is due a deep clean if we have time. Fortunately spiders don't bother me.
